Perry Virtual clinical study starts patient recruitment

Perry Virtual is the first rural healthcare program using real-time monitoring solutions for high-risk patients with COPD and cardiovascular disease. The clinical study is targeting rural patients in the US using the Coala Heart Monitor to remotely follow rural patients long-term from the safety of their own homes.

“We are pioneering rural health by providing state-of-the-art medical solutions to the patients that need it the most. The goal is to prove the reduction in admission rates, improved clinical management, reduction in use of medications and increased quality of life”, comments Liane Parker, COO of Perry Community Hospital, a privately-owned hospital part of the Expertus Group, based in Linden, Tennessee.
